I removed the ".8" from the URL and it allowed me to see the starting page of the game but it thought that I was a spectator. Something wasn't quite right.

There are several reports of en.8 refusing connection (this is a server side error message, typically caused by capacity issues, but not always)

I am having this same problem. It was claiming that we were trying to play from the same IP but we were two cities away from each other.

I was playing with 3 couples and 2 singles. 2 of the couples included a premium member but the 3rd couple did not. With at least 1 premium member at the table (and we had 2 premium members), all 8 of should have been able to play but only one half if the 3rd couple could play. The stated reason for not allowing the 8th player to play was that 2 people could not play from the same ip address without a premium membership (but we had 2 premium members at the table).

From the Faqs, it seems clear that the premium member does not have to be at the same ip address as the additional player but my experience is that the 2 non-premium players who lived in the same house as a premium player could play as well but only one of the two players at the house without a premium member could play.

My partner and I have our own separate accounts and computers but we cannot play the same game (13 Clues) together. That's a bit weird that people in the same household cannot play together. This is unacceptable especially during quarantine times and it is sad that this issue has not been resolved by developers yet.

We play from different devices and IP addresses. But there is a blocking error. We are blocked as if we are from the same IP. Please correct this error. Or update your IP every time you refresh the page!

I'm a premium member, and have played many games successfully with three of the members (not including myself) at the same IP address. Not sure what is causing your problem.
