I didn't think that was possible, and this case is also not present in the rulebook as far as I can tell.

I'll ask the publisher of the game for their idea on that situation.

Please find below the reply from the publisher. In summary:
- If there are enough free spots: do as usual
- If there are not enough free spots: allow the player to take all the free spots, and forfeit their remaining flowers.

Wow, that is an odd case! If there were other open spaces on the board, I would say the active player would be able to place up to four flowers on them.
But since there are no open spots, I think the active player doesn't get to place any flowers and their turn ends. In other words, this is probably not the wisest of moves!

So in this case the player should not have made the choice they did in placing the tile where they did but in the event that something like this is what they choose to do
than the remaining portion of their turn would be forfeit as they have no way of planting any flowers and would lose any possible points they could've gotten that round.

For the instance for the game on BGA I would think the addition of a button that says "Forfeit remaining turn" or something along those lines would be helpful so that players can
choose this option should that need arise and make it so the button has a double confirmation that this choice can not be undone with messages something like this

Player hits Forfeit Remaining Turn Button
Prompt 1---> Are you sure you wish to forfeit the remaining portion of your turn? (Y/N)
Prompt 2---> Are you aware that confirming this will result in the next player getting to take their turn and that this choice is irreversible? (Y/N)

Hello,

This issue is now fixed: if there is no spot left for a flower, the player's turn is ended. They will retain any gift point, to be used in the next turn.
Implementing the confirmation for this is quite cumbersome, for a case that should not happen very often - therefore I did not add it.
