Game of Trains - Simple Rules Summary

Goal

Be the first player to arrange your train cards in ascending order.

Setup

Each player starts with their own train line arranged in descending order.

Each card has:

• a number
• a special power

First Round

On the first round, players may:

• draw a card
• replace one card in their own train line

Each Turn After That

On your turn, choose one of these options:

1. Draw and replaceDraw a card from the draw pile and replace one card in your train line.
2. Use a special powerTake one face-up card from the middle of the table and use its special power.

What Happens to Cards

• When you replace a card in your train line, the old card goes face-up into the middle of the table.
• Cards in the middle can later be taken and used for their special powers.
• After a special power is used, that card is discarded.

Special Powers

Special powers can do such things as:

• swap two cards (has 2 rounded arrows to show if swapping next to each other OR has round arrow card rounded arrow to show swap

with a card in-between ie swap 3 2 1 to become 1 2 3).

• move a card two spaces left or two spaces right. Has two arrows that face left or right.
• affect all players (cards with the x, affect first card, middle or last which will change for all players without another card locked to it) has x card card, card x card or card card x
• destroy cards (the x card that removes first, middle or last card previously mentioned).
• and other actions (lock cards to escape the x actions, although you can move them still) . Has a padlock on it and will sit behind the card you choose to lock.

How to Win

Keep taking turns until one player has their train line in ascending order.

That player wins.
